I'm missing Paper Source!

One thing that I absolutely loved about being in the U.S was the access to the amazing store Paper Source. Oh my...I could spend just hours in here, in fact I could live here. The beautiful cards, papers, books and decoration workshops made me spin! I was full of excitement and beaming from ear to ear. I couldn't possibly leave without treating myself to the wonderful book Handmade Weddings and also a Paper Source personalised stamp  which we will use for all our wedding stationary. You can buy online, and I believe they ship all over the world but it doesn't even compare to the excitement of being in store. I'm can't wait for the day they launch a London store, that would be amazing!

A Tour of California...

So, I've decided. It's great to travel. Not only do I feel like I'm a world away from home, but I also feel so inspired by this very different culture around me. In just a short time I feel different in a way I can't explain. All I know (and I must admit, I have very little travelling experience in comparison to most) is that I not only appreciate and admire this country for what it is, but I also get a sense of appreciation for our home. And that's the best bit. It's amazing to go away, but its even better to realise why you love the country you are from.

We're having an amazing time, and my fiancé and I are set to hit San Francisco tomorrow for the first time. I'm already beside myself with excitement. I can't wait to witness those beautiful Victorian houses, and the rows on rows of food markets. But I also know, in 5 nights time we'll be home, in our own bed with our very much missed dog by our side. It's good to miss home once in a while. Wouldn't you agree?

So it's been quite a year...

As you may know (or maybe not if you've not visited my blog before...) but I've had a rather hectic year. In January I embarked on setting up my new company in North Cornwall, but little did I know of the events that were about to take place. First off, my boyfriend (at the time) and I bought our new home in March, with huge dreams and plans on how we were going to renovate it. Secondly, (and little to my knowledge) my boyfriend then proposed at the end if March which totally blew my mind and I ever since I've been acting like a one of those girls who look sickingly happy, boring for most people I know! So on top of wedding planning and renovating a house I was then asked  to 'up my days' working at a design studio in Falmouth. All in all...it's quite obvious why I've had such little time to get my business going.

So, after much deliberation (and a little persuasive nudge from my fiance who obviously knows me better than I know myself) I have decided to ditch my business plans for another year. I'm rather gutted, but hey. It seems so silly to constantly feel guilty over something that doesn't even really exist. It's just best that it goes on hold for now until next year and we can then see where I am after our wedding.

But in the meantime, you maybe pleased to know that Daisypotter will be back up and running!! Yey! And if I'm to be totally honest I've missed it. I absolutely love my blog and was so sad to see it go, so I'm actually really happy to be back. I'll be updating my blog with our recent house renovation developments and as ever, I'll be featuring all those amazingly stylish people I find around the globe that totally inspire me.

I hope that everyone I deserted for a short while will be back to follow me again and I really look forward to hearing your thoughts on my posts. Also, if there are any designers or fellow bloggers out there that would like to feature on my blog then please don't hesitate to get in touch. I'd love to hear
from you.

Best Wishes, Jo x
