The one thing I love about my husband and I renovating our
holiday cottage, is that I’m allowed to spend a ridiculous amount of time on
the internet searching for other inspirational holiday accommodation around the
country. I love everything about ‘getting away’ and I’d rather spend my very last
penny on a beautiful hotel room than on a designer handbag, that’s for sure! So
in my recent quest for beautiful accommodation, I came across these wonderful
cottages at Upcott Farm. How dreamy? I would just love an excuse to holiday
here and as it’s not so far away…maybe it could be a great meeting place for
future get togethers with friends. I love everything about these cottages, and
I’d oh so love to live in a completely white house. But sometimes, I feel so
stuck between living in a completely colourful home, and one that’s just as
these are. Serene, soft and oh so calm. Is
there a balance somewhere in between? Hopefully I’m trying to achieve that with
our home, which by the way, is so close to being finished. I can’t wait to
share it with you. Take care, and have a wonderful weekend. x

The Webb Street Company, Cornwall
Photography: James Ram
I went into the most delightful store yesterday in the coastal town of Fowey, Cornwall. How lovely it is to see such wonderful brands in Cornwall, some being my favourites such as Falcon Enamelware and Hooper and Shaw prints...I think I even spied some delights from Fog Linen Works too! The store has been fitted out so beautifully, and that's all down to the incredibly talented duo at Millard&Flo. I can't wait to go again, maybe I could use our visiting friends as an excuse! I can see it now, ' oooh...have you been to Fowey before? We just have to go....' hehe.

Scandinavian Home
So its been a while you could say, but I have a huge excuse...planning a wedding is exactly an easy task on top of a full time job. But hey, it was an amazing experience and I wouldn't regret the time I dedicated towards it for a second. We both had the most amazing day of our lives! But now we're home (after being honeymooned) I can dedicate some more of my time to another true love...interiors. As my first married post, I'd like to share with you this beautiful Scandinavian home. Rustic, white with a vintage flair. When can I move in? More images can be found via Style Files. Enjoy! x

Renovation of our Cornish Holiday Cottage
Before...
Getting there...
5 months later...
So...now the
weather is starting to change, I've decided its about time I addressed the long
awaited job of decorating our holiday cottage back in Cornwall. As
usual, things have taken us a lot longer than expected, but I'm proud to
say that we've come a long way. Since the first days of knocking down
walls and adding extensions, we're finally feeling 'comfortable'. Now
the fun can really begin, and I can start to source all the pretty
things to fill our lovely new home with. Below are some before and after
shots, some change hey? We've still a way to go, but we're hoping by
Christmas we'll be finished and our house will be available to rent.
Holiday by the beach anyone? xx
