Renovation of Bodhi's Beach Hut

Well, as ever…life has been pretty hectic for us so yet again my poor little blog has been left to its own devices for a while. But that’s not to say that things can’t change. We have managed to complete so many huge projects this year, one being the development of our Cornish holiday home near Padstow. I previously had a post on the progress of our renovation, but I can happily now report that (after a rather long time) we’re done!! The property has gone live on Homeway and you can now book for 2014, yey!!! I do hope that you like the way in which I’ve decorated the property and we would be delighted to hear from you if you fancy a holiday in sunny Cornwall next year.

Further to this, another huge project is in its development which my husband and I are super excited about. We’re opening our first interior store next Spring 2014 in Cornwall. It’s such an exciting time for us and I’ll be able to show you how we’re getting on with its development when we get the keys in January. So watch this space!! My husband will be making all his own furniture which has been a dream of his for years, so it’s going to be an exciting year ahead.

And lastly, one even bigger project that we’ve taken on is the arrival of our baby son next March!!! Yey!!! How on earth are we going to fit all this is in, I hear you cry! God knows…we we’re up for the challenge. I can’t wait to meet our new little arrival, its such an exciting time and as much as our lives are a complete whirlwind, I wouldn’t change it for the world. I am one incredibly happy bunny. Love to you all, and I’ll be in touch very soon . xx

Upcott Farm Luxury Cottages

The one thing I love about my husband and I renovating our holiday cottage, is that I’m allowed to spend a ridiculous amount of time on the internet searching for other inspirational holiday accommodation around the country. I love everything about ‘getting away’ and I’d rather spend my very last penny on a beautiful hotel room than on a designer handbag, that’s for sure! So in my recent quest for beautiful accommodation, I came across these wonderful cottages at Upcott Farm. How dreamy? I would just love an excuse to holiday here and as it’s not so far away…maybe it could be a great meeting place for future get togethers with friends. I love everything about these cottages, and I’d oh so love to live in a completely white house. But sometimes, I feel so stuck between living in a completely colourful home, and one that’s just as these are. Serene, soft and oh so calm.  Is there a balance somewhere in between? Hopefully I’m trying to achieve that with our home, which by the way, is so close to being finished. I can’t wait to share it with you. Take care, and have a wonderful weekend. x

Renovation of our Cornish Holiday Cottage

Before...
Getting there...
 5 months later...
So...now the weather is starting to change, I've decided its about time I addressed the long awaited job of decorating our holiday cottage back in Cornwall. As usual, things have taken us a lot longer than expected, but I'm proud to say that we've come a long way. Since the first days of knocking down walls and adding extensions, we're finally feeling 'comfortable'. Now the fun can really begin, and I can start to source all the pretty things to fill our lovely new home with. Below are some before and after shots, some change hey? We've still a way to go, but we're hoping by Christmas we'll be finished and our house will be available to rent. Holiday by the beach anyone? xx

Paul Massey's Cornish Home

Wow, Paul has done it again! He's created a beautiful rustic beach house, situated in one of the sweetest Cornish fishing towns in the UK. I love how he collects industrial lighting and reclaimed furniture, yet makes them feel so luxurious at the same time. His interior style inspires me so much, I'm sure I'll be stealing a few of his ideas when decorating our holiday home here in North Cornwall. I can't wait to see what he does next! x
