Home Inspiration from Quirky Interiors

Hi! Yet again, so sorry for the lack of posts lately. Things have been rather hectic! As you may know, I'm in the middle of a build project and I have full responsibility of the interior. Amazing! As much as I'm over the moon - it's still a little daunting. When it's your own home, it's so hard to make that final decision on what to buy. But having come across the website Quirky Interiors, it's confirmed my thoughts on how to have our kitchen. As I'm sure you're aware, kitchens are probably one of the most expensive ways to blow your budget, so I've decided to go ahead with a homemade 'rough luxe' look. We'll be clambering around for old pieces of wood and hopefully it'll look amazing, we'll have to wait and see. In the meantime, take a peek around this store as you'll love it I'm sure. Enjoy! x

Ikea Family Live

Hi everyone, I hope you're all having a lovely weekend? I received some very good news this week, so I'm very very excited! My boyfriend and I have managed to strike a deal on a beautiful home in North Cornwall, and we get to move in next month! The best bit? It's a total blank canvas that requires a lot of work, so I'm frantically searching for inspiration on how I'd like to it look and feel. This home on Ikea Family Live is gorgeous! If there's anyway we could make it look like this then I'd be over the moon. Hopefully...I'll be sharing with you all my new project, as it might be quite interesting to see it develop over the next year. I hope you all have a great weekend and I'll be in touch soon. x

An Australian Christmas

Hi everyone, I hope you've all had a wonderful Christmas. I'm sorry for the lack of posts lately, but I'm currently visiting my brother and his family out in Western Australia! We've had a wonderful Christmas, and the weather has been incredible. One of the things I most enjoy about coming here (apart from the amazing food and gorgeous beaches) is the inspiration I get from all the amazing stores that I've visited. They're so gorgeously decorated and I feel that I've picked up some great ideas which I'll most definitely be bringing home with me. What has been strange though, is celebrating Christmas day in such hot weather! The whole experience here is so different - and the way in which things have been decorated are so different from the way we decorate back home in the UK. I love the simplicity here and when I came across the recent magazine fetepress - the whole style just filled me with Christmas joy. Next year - no matter where I am, hot or cold - this will be style that I'll be taking home with me and wanting to replicate around my home. Enjoy this beautiful publication and I'll be in touch again in 2012! xxx

A Simple Christmas

I can't believe how quickly this year has flown, and we're already turning our minds to Christmas shopping and decorating. It's such an exciting time of year and I love the fact there's so many wonderful home websites, dedicated to Christmas. In my search for the perfect Christmas house - this one in particular caught my eye. It looks so effortlessly simple and gorgeous! Why bother with glitter and tinsel when all you need is a rustic tree and some beautiful lighting. Simply wonderful.
